There are many places to shoot the Milky Way and do nightscape photography. Yellowstone/Grand Teton, CanyonLands/Arches and the desert all come to mind but actually the places are only limited by your imagination. This is one we shot during my Autumn Canyonlands/Arches workshop.
Like many photographers this time of the year I spend more time than I should searching the internet for the best place to find autumn color. This year has been exceptionally challenging for many since the changes of the leaves has been delayed in several areas and storms swept through many favorite locations. I have even read a couple of forum post declaring that this is the worst season ever. Maybe it is for some people, but for me every season I get to experience for is great. Maybe not what I expect, but still each season is wonderful in its own way. Actually the unusual climate just makes thing more interesting. It makes us expand our creativity. We have the chance to see in a new way. The images are there, we just need to embrace the moment and find a way to capture the feel of the season.
